Bio and ‘Legaleeze’

Dusty and Austin, August 2013

Hello!  I’m Dusty, author of traveling tUUsome and mom to Austin.  We are a mother and son team continuing our quest of homeschooling while rv’ing with our Labrador mix named Lili (Lilikoi), and our huge desires to learn about Unitarian Universalism–and life itself–through travel and exploration.

Beginning on January 1st of 2013, we set off to visit a new UU community in a new location each week, including all fifty states plus Washington D.C. and Ottawa, Canada.  As life has gotten in the way, our schedule has slowed but we are moving on with our ultimate goal.  Following each visit, I share about the community we’ve been to while throwing in some travel and tourism posts about our personal experiences on the road.

Please make sure to “Follow Us” so that you’ll receive updates on the many communities we visit as we continue our quest!  Also, check out our “On the Road” page describing our rig, and our “Schedule” page to find out where we’ve been and where we’re headed.

I am so sorry I missed talking to you when you visited our church in Sarasota. Many years ago I attended the church in El Paso as well as Las Cruces before moving back up to Silver City and being an active member of our small lay-led UU group up in Silver. I now call Sarasota home and also give a special welcome to people visiting from the southwest. I happened to be sick that day. My loss as I am especially close to many aspects of Buddhism. So glad you loved our garden. Happy journeys. Lura

Dusty I was very honored to have met you and your family this Easter Sunday at our First UU Church in Wilmington, Delaware. It was my pleasure providing you with a tour of our building, especially the Brunner Chapel and our Angel Window. You are having an amazaing journey throughout the USA–I am very glad we were on your list. Hopefully you got a chance to enjoy some of the sights in our area.
    Safe Travels,Marilyn Hyte

Dusty, you gotta come to Wellsprings. Skip Baptistown. Cutting edge UUism with the best preacher ever. Not far from Devon and Wilmington.

What are your thoughts?
